The CFS Apprentice – You’re Hired.

CFS apprentice Daniel Chenery has a very good reason to feel pleased with himself lately.

He has recently achieved qualifications for Level 2 and Level 3 Plumbing RVQ.

Subjects covered for the Level 2 qualification included:

  • Health and safety in building services engineering
  • Scientific principles for domestic, industrial and commercial plumbing
  • Domestic hot water systems
  • Central heating systems
  • Drainage systems
  • Common plumbing processes
  • Cold water systems
  • Sanitation
  • Electrical principles and processes for building services engineering.

Whereas, the more advanced Level 3 qualification covered:

  • Plumbing system installation planning
  • Complex cold water systems
  • Domestic hot water
  • Sanitation and drainage systems
  • Central heating systems
  • Career awareness in building services engineering
  • Understanding the fundamental principles and requirements of environmental technology systems
  • Domestic gas principles.
  • Water supply (water fitting) regulation and water bylaws in the UK.

Having our apprentices working alongside our fully qualified engineers ensures that knowledge is passed down, whilst ensuring continuity of skills and quality and maintaining a high level of expertise to our clients.

Daniel will continue with his studies to improve on his skillset through the blended learning approach with sessions at college, whilst also gaining valuable experience within the industry, with on-site training.
